Welcome Ladies and Gentle people to the Aristotle Zenobia Sunshine’s Museum of Natural, Technological, and Sociological Wonders. I hope that you are amazed, puzzled and amused by what you are about to see. The world was examined from pole to pole, and expense was not considered when we prepared these exhibits for your infotainment.
In the Fall of 2013 the Museum was revealed for the first time in exhibits at Addison-Broaddus College in Phillipi, West Virginia and at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, WV. The show in July 2014 included both previously revealed displays, and new ones too. This exhibit was at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center in downtown Lewisburg, WV.
Our first Florida show in January 2018 continued to receive positive responses from our visitors. May 2019, our exhibit at the Florida Gulf Coast University at the Renaissance Academy in Punta Gorda, had expanded to include 25 shadow box exhibits and 25 of the most current written museum publications. In addition, on May 21st the curator presented a lecture, “The History of the Dime Museum”.
Our 2020 month-long exhibit at the Berne and Sydney Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, FL met with rave reviews and awe-inspired visitors. This show completed our 2020 world tour.
Due to the on-going pandemic in 2021, the Sunshine Museum went on hiatus from its touring.
We are looking forward to returning to the road with the Lewisburg, WV Carnegie Hall three month exhibit, August 1 through October 28, 2022.
The 37 displays from the original 2013 show to the present are on this website’s “The Halls” tab.
ENJOY! Curator Steven Lawrence Hutchins
